Explore the enchanting Tallinn old town in the most authentic way on a short walking tour to the highlights of both lower merchants borough and the noblemen seat at the upper old town.
From the mysterious St. Catherine’s Passage, Dominican Monastery and the old market square, we will walk the cobbled streets leading us to the lively Town Hall Square. Once the very heart of an old Hansa town, today still the quaint focal point of activities with summer terraces, fairs, festivals and the magical Christmas market.
The unique building on one corner of the square is the oldest continuously running pharmacy in Europe, having always been in business in the same house since the early 15th century.Â
Thereafter we will drop by the candy paradise at the Maiasmokk marzipan room and learn of the fondness for this irresistible sugary treat by peasants and czars alike.
Climbing the Toompea Hill, we will enjoy stunning views over the city and coastline. After walking tour we make our way to the Estonian Winery where we will be treated to the rich tastes of local sparkling fruit wines paired with snacks and fascinating stories about their unique wines. Their wines are natural without added sugar and concentrates.
