We will start our day by taking a drive out of the urban setting of capital city Tallinn towards the east of the country in order to discover the natural habitat of moose, fox, and lynx in one of the oldest and largest National Parks of the region- Lahemaa.

The stunning Northern coast of Estonia offers not only untouched forests with a secret life of their own, but also the many sanctuaries for those wishing to hear the sound of the wind and the sea. Also a handful of enchanting former fisher’s villages and grand Baltic manor estates are hiding between the peninsulas of Northern coast.

Once a home to the local aristocracy, our first stop will take us to the stunning Palmse Manor ensemble with its legendary story dating back to the early 13th century. Through the unkind events of the past, the manor complex has managed to maintain a true atmosphere of times gone by boasting intimate and elaborately decorated rooms in the main building and fascinating pavilions, smithy, bathhouse and a distillery aspart of its present day charm. After a stroll in dreamy green setting of Palmse, we will head to a more rugged location, where heroic captain’s legends of winning the oceans of the world have made their home.

The simple charm of former fisher’s village of Käsmu has a rich history that is showcased beautifully in the unique private exhibitions of the Maritime Museum. You will not only be treated to a savory lunch, but also hear how a village of one-hundred families has given the gift of at least one-hundred captains to the seas around the world. A lunch will be served in Käsmu sea museum, where you can enjoy a traditional Estonian meal.

Please note, lunch at the Käsmu Maritime Museum will be served upon availability, therefore an alternative lunch venue may be offered.

After some time for a satisfying lunch break, we will head back through the winding coastal roads towards the city, leaving the eye to catch glimpses of Lahemaa National Park natural beauty along the way. Before the day’s activities come to an end, we will take time for a photo stop to capture the splendor of Jägala waterfalls.

Estonias highest falls are a delight to visit throughout all the seasons and even more impressive in the height of winter, when sculptures of solid water are the creators of frozen art not to be missed. Our day of most entertaining experiences, surprises and simple pleasures of natural wonders in Lahemaa comes to an end with a heartfelt goodbye back at your hotel or cruise port.
