Come and discover the beautifully decorated fir trees, streets glowing with Christmas lights, display windows decorated with arts and crafts andĀ fantastic light displays.
During the tour we will see where the first public Christmas tree in the world was erected and visit a renowned Christmas market in the Old Town Square. St. Catharineās Passage hides guild craftsmen and artists, whose creation you can purchase or simply admire.
At Christmas time streets are transformed into a world of galleries. Through the windows we are able to peak at wondrous art displays and witness a mystical showcase of light and shadows.Ā Handcrafted Christmas miniatures decorate the windows of cafes, shops and art studios in the Old Town. Through the lit-up windows of the Tourist Information Center we get to see Estoniaās biggest canebrake tree.
The Church of the Holy Spirit and the unique faƧade of the Great Guild Hall have their own stories to tell and your guide will enlighten you to them as we step inside Kalevās Marzipan House. Your guide will also explain how Christmas was celebrated in Medieval Times as well as what kind of drinks and meals were prepared then.Ā You will learn how to make your own medieval Christmas sweet ā bread dumpling. This unique tour is both entertaining and educational.
