Discover “the beauty on water” city of Stockholm and its bountiful culture and history by taking in the must-see attractions and scenic views.
The itinerary starts with an introductory sightseeing drive to the historic environment located high up on the edge of a cliff with a fantastic views of the city around from Fjällgatan area. From here you will admire the Gamla Stan, the Old Town, museum island of Skeppsholmen, and the island of Djurgården, a green oasis in the middle of Stockholm.
Central Stockholm panoramic sights include the Royal Palace, historic Stock Exchange Building and the Swedish Academy.
A short walking tour in the old town takes you to the charming and colorful Gamla Stan, where Stockholm was founded in back in 1252. All of Gamla Stan has such a unique atmosphere with winding cobblestone streets making it look as if something straight out from a storybook. Many of the beautiful churches and museums add to that charm, including the Stockholm Cathedral and the Nobel Prize Museum. The Royal Palace is one of the largest palaces in the world with over 600 rooms and the Royal Armory.
After some free time to take advantage of a coffee break or some souvenir shopping, the itinerary continues with a drive to experience a bar made of ice. In a cool and unique interior of the Stockholm Ice Bar, you are served a refreshing drink in a glass of ice, as you enjoy the frozen art bundled up in a warm cape and gloves.
The tour comes to an end back in your hotel or cruise harbor.
